Founded by The Badan Nadwah Islamiah Pahang (BNIP), Rumah Anak-anak Yatim Permata Camar is one of the place that BNIP established to protect and give educations to the orphans and also for the children who are poor and does not have a place to live.
PERMATA CAMAR has started operations on February 28, 2004 at home No. 23, Lorong 33, Taman Berjaya Permai, 25150 Kuantan Pahang. A total of 5 orphans and poor children were chosen to join this first group. Their daily lives are fully covered by Permata Camar under Badan Nadwah Islamiah Pahang and fully supervised by a appointed warden for their care.
The real goal of PERMATA CAMAR is to create a permanent settlement with a minimum of 2 acres of land and equipped with residential blocks, study rooms, surau, dining hall, multipurpose hall, recreation and so on. The complex which is expected to accommodate at least 50 Orphaned, poor and abandoned children who have no place of dependence.
The initial cost of providing infrastructure involving modifications such as renovations, renters, clothes, books, tools (beds, tables and others) is RM 35,000.00. Operating costs are involving meals, pocket money, schooling, transport clothing, ultrasonic, home rent, salaries and wages and other management expenses. The secretariat expects the operating costs are over than RM 10,000.00 per month when the temporary retirement of children in the placement reaches a total of 13 persons in 2006.
To cover the expenses per month, PERMATA CAMAR's secretariat expects private, statutory bodies, government agencies, NGOs or any concerned and philanthropic individuals to make regular and continuous contributions to this house.
